KIP-E Cold-isostatic presses up to 5000 kN
KIP-E

Cold-isostatic lab press When using KIP lab presses, substances can be pressed homogeneously and simultaneously in all axial directions. These presses make the manufacturing of complex compacts in advantageable isostatic elastomer-forms possible.
There even is the possibility to put various forms and materials into one press chamber, simultaneously and under pressures of up to 13 kbar.

In cold isostatic pressing (KIP) substances are filled into elastomer press forms, which then are put into a press chamber with liquid filling.
The press chamber is fixed on the work table, then it is moved up towards the press die until the preselected press force is reached.

The KIP model in question serves in translating the pressure: The system-pressure in the hydraulic cylinder may be translated with constant press force into a higher pressure in the press chamber.

Responsible for this change of pressure in the press chamber is the ratio between the surface of the hydraulic cylinder's piston and the surface of the press chamber bore.
The protection devices of KIP models are serial.
Technical data
KIP press chamber KIP-press chambers are available in 3 sizes with diameters of bore from 40-160 mm.

The homogeneous density of cold-isostatic compacts reduces inner tensions. So fractures or stratifications can be prevented.
A stronger stability of green compacts after the pressing results in good handling, offering
favourable processing options.
An active pneumatic cushion provides the easy handling and an exact centering of the 80-700 kg weighing KIP press chambers in the working area of the press.

If press die and press chamber are removed, the KIP-press can also be used for uniaxial operations.
