				Precision hydraulic presses up to 1000 kN 2-column model The lab press series PW is advisable for frequently changing press tasks with small to medium piece numbers, that still can be managed manually. It also fits in cases when different types of press tools are used. PW-Models are very easy to handle and can be used on laboratory- and work benchs. The PW-series' press frame consists of a base-plate, two hardened and chromium-plated columns and the top bar. In the top bar a trapezoid-thread adjusting spindle with a movable upper thrust transmitting piece is integrated. The lower pressure plate is mounted on the piston of the hydraulic cylinder, which, together with hand-pump, pressure control valve and manometer, is fixed on the base-plate. Like all other PW-models this standard-model can be supplemented individually with a variety of add-on components.
				The press tool, respectively the press material is centered on the lower pressure plate. Then the upper pressure plate, using the spindle, is moved down until it touches the press material. When the hand-pump is set in motion, the hydraulic pressure moves the hydraulic cylinder's piston up. The compressive stress of the system is displayed in kN on the manometer. Thanks to the pressure regulating valve the maximal pressure load can not be exceeded.
				This PW 20 is put on a press carriage with drawers, which has a stability under load of 200 kg. It shows the most popular add-on components: Flexible cross bar for exact parallel print areas Additional manometer for the display of smaller forces (25% of main manometer)
				All PW lab presses designed for combined manual and automatic processing may be equipped with electro-hydraulic supply (WHC or EHV). They also can be equipped with TEMPRESS components for hot pressing.
